The expert jury of the 10th Grand PRix awards of the Croatian Public Relations Association (HUOJ) has published the list of communication projects that are included in this year’s shortlist.
A record number of projects were registered for the most prestigious award of HUOJ – 68 of them, and the jury assessed them in 12 categories.
“We are extremely proud of the record number of entries. This means that the reputation of Grand PRix is growing. This year, the selection of the shortlist was really challenging. In order to choose the best, we examined the registered projects extremely thoroughly,” said Daria Mateljak, president of the Grand PRix jury.
The shortlist includes three projects from each of the categories, ie. a total of 36. Since two categories had only three entries each (the ones for the communication strategy and sponsorship communication) they entered directly into the finals. Finalists from the remaining ten categories were voted on.
In the category of PR in regional and local self-government there were seven entries, and the shortlisted projects are:
The City of Karlovac and Public Institution Aquatika – fresh water aquarium Karlovac, Millenium promotion: “Official opening and positioning of Aquatika – first fresh water aquarium in Croatia, in Karlovac”
Public institution in culture, Fortress of Culture Šibenik: “More than reality – first year of the revitalized Fortress Barone”
Hauska & Partner for the City of Zadar, Administrative department for the development of the island and environmental protection: “Campaign: why I love Zadar”
For the Grand PRix in NGO sector five projects were registered, and the finalists are:
Media Val for the Association to Support Victims and Witnesses: “Volunteer and PRofit – implementation of communication activities for the Association to Support Victims and Witnesses”
Institute for Research and Education “Zaposlena mama”: “Mamforce standard for family responsibility and gender equality”
Running for Grand PRix in the category of large trade companies were five projects, and the finalists are:
Addiko Bank and MPR: “Rebranding and positioning of Addiko Bank”
Madison Consulting for Ikea Croatia: “Trial House Ikea”
Croatian public broadcaster HRT: “Stories of each generation – promotional campaign amid the marking of the 90th anniversary of Croatian Radio (HRT – HR) and the 60th anniversary of the Croatian Television (HRT – HTV)”
Four projects were entered for Grand PRix for SMEs, and the shortlisted projects are:
VETTURELLI, Agencija 404: “B2B RUN powered by HT”
Dialog komunikacije: “Diablog”
Komunikacijski ured Colić Laco & Partners for Istrian Wine Run: “Communication support for the Istrian Wine Run”
Grand PRix for socially responsible business received 12 entries, and the finalists are:
Pragma Communications for Zagrebačka pivovara/Ožujsko beer: “Scratch for a reason – campaign for early detection of testicular cancer”
Nova TV: “Integrated partnership for continuous empowerment of the project I Want Life of the Ana Rukavina Foundation”
Madison Consulting for Ikea Croatia: “Ikea Croatia and the Association Kamensko – Project of Social Entrepreneurship”
Six projects were entered into category of internal communication, and the shortlist includes:
INA – Oil industry: „BeneFit – benefits for workers”
Pragma komunikacije for Zagrebačka pivovara: “Presentation of the online system for individual entry of staff data People Central”
Nova TV: “News on Nova – new level of internal communication”
Grand PRix for the adaptation of a global campaign received six entries, and the finalists are:
Heineken Croatia and Media Val: “Moderate Drinkers Wanted (#herowanted)”
Dialog komunikacije for Mars Croatia: “Orbit gives smiles”
Sve pet for the Coalition of Associations in Healthcare (KUZ) and the Association Sve za Nju: “National public health campaign: We Can. I Can.”
Four projects entered in the race for Grand PRix for political communication, and the finalists are:
Maksima komunikacije for the party Pametno: “Let’s turn Croatia around”
Campaign HQ of Anka Mrak – Taritaš: “Anka je Mrak, Za građane i građevine” (“Anka is Awesome, for citizens and construction”)
Nova TV: “Nova TV – elections 2016”
Grand PRix for digital communication saw six entries, and the finalists are:
RTL Croatia: “Vrijeme odluke” (“Decision Time”)
Switzerland (Helvetika Komunikacije) and Dukat: “Dukat & bloggers”
Nova TV: “Project to cover European Championship on the Gol.hr portal”
Event organization Grand PRix had seven entries. Shortlist includes:
Association Propela Zadar: “10. dm millenium jump”
Valamar riviera/MPG: “Poreč Open Air – Festival of Life”
Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Mayor’s Office – Department of Public Relations and Protocol: “Presentation of high schools of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County ‘Where next?’”
Three projects that were entered in Grand PRix for communications strategy are proceeding directly to the finals:
Quintana komunikacije for the City Housing Company Velika Gorica: “Energetically Efficient”
Nova TV: “Supertalent 2016 – More than a TV show”
Hauska & Partner for Danfoss Hrvatska: “(Re)positioning of Danfoss Croatia”
Three projects were also entered for Grand PRix for sponsorship communication, and they also go directly to the finals:
Komunikacijski laboratorij for Pernod Ricard Croatia: “Chivas Win the Right Way”
INA – Oil Industry: “INA – general sponsor of the Croatian Football Federation”
Allianz Zagreb and VETTURELLI: “Be the Part that’s Missing”
Finalists will present their projects to the jury, colleagues from the field, and all others who are interested in the good practice in public relations in Croatia, at the Festival of Finalists on 2 March in Zagreb.
Winners will be announced at the Grand PRix ceremony on 16 March, when the Grand PRix for the contribution to the profession will also be presented.
After the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service was declared Communicator of the Year, next week organizers will announce the Anti-communicator of the Year, ie. the person who has earned the “Pomegranate of the Year” award.
