Graphic designer Lana Cavar won the two most important awards for visual communications in the past two years, as part of the Exhibition of Croatian Design 1516 which is being held in the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb. One of the two awards presented to her in the traditionally the most numerous category of Design in Visual Communication was the Award for the best graphic design, which she deserved with her work on the visual identity of Hotel Adriatic (Maistra), which the Guardian marked as one of the best boutique hotels in Europe for 2016. Co-authors of this design were Marino Krstačić-Furić and Ana Tomić.
Lana Cavar als received the special and coveted ICO-D Excellence Award, sponsored by the International Association of designers ICO-D, which is awarded to the best work in the field of visual communications by an international jury, and this time it was awarded for the visual identity for season 2014/16 of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
Lana won a whole array of local and international awards and is the only designer in Croatia whose portfolio now includes two coveted ICO-D awards (she won the first one together with Ira Payer and Narcisa Vukojević for the design of Frakcija magazine).
