It’s less than three weeks until this year’s PRO.PR conference. Leading communications experts will gather in Bečići, Montenegro from 7 to 10 April. Hotel Splendid will again be the venue for the conference. In a series of lectures and workshops twenty-one speakers will provide insight into topics such as public relations, marketing, internal and external communications, and business and management.
Today we present one of the speakers, Christian Spahr, chief of media programs for South East Europe at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), who is based in Sofia. In his work he focuses on supporting quality journalism and modern political communication. He is also a co-founder and board member of SEECOM (South East Europe Communications Association) and a co-host of SEEMF (South East Europe Media Forum). From 2006 to 2012, Spahr was a spokesman for BITCOM (association of the German Internet economy). He was responsible for the digital sector in relations with the media and the Internet.
The title of his lecture is Communication Challenges of Political Leaders in South East Europe. The main topics covered in the lecture are confidence in political communication, requirements for professional communication management for members of government and party leaders in South East Europe, communication objectives at the national and international levels, challenges of a polarized media environment and changes in political culture and social media.
