Croatian brand Lošinj Hotels & Villas is entering a new tourist season with a redesigned visual identity that aims to emphasize the transition in categorization of its hotels and villas from 4* to 5+*. Accordingly, they aimed for a new visual language, more appropriate for a hotel brand with a portfolio that is the jewel of Jadranka Group and its hotel brand Lošinj Hotels & Villas.
Compared to the previous typography of the logo, authors of the redesigned logo from the agency Kuharić Matoš point out that the new serif LH&V’s typography breathes luxury, tradition and splendor. Thus, the turquoise and white combination was replaced with marine deep blue with gilded details, and as such it evokes the mystique of the deep sea and the filigree precision of handmade expensive jewelry.
Given that contemporary tourists, including guests of LH&V, expect a lot more than just beautiful nature and crystal clear seas, instead of the recognizable motif of a pine and turquoise color, the logo now includes the shape of a square as part of the visual identity of all major tourist destinations in the world, with the mandatory LH&V monogram. As some of the advantages of introducing the monogram, designers from the Kuharić Matoš emphasize the ease of usability in international communication and distinctive style of communication among high-end brands.
The ampersand is highlighted through different, more sophisticated typography, encompassing the name, just as the brand LH&V encompasses hotels, villas, restaurants and the destination as a whole. In addition, due to its presence in the very name of the brand, it also symbolizes the shift in the approach to guests, in line with the transition into the higher categorization of hotels and villas, which, among other things, is reflected in the premium level of services, expansion of the unique offer and new investments, such as the airport and the golf course which will further confirm that Lošinj naturally belongs on a map of some of the most favorable island destinations in the Mediterranean.
Also, the new visual communication concept which completes the LH&V identity sends a unique message. For all current and potential future tourists of the island of Lošinj, stay in hotels and villas of LH&V thus represents a unique experience which, along with quality vacation, offers a comprehensive service that gives visitors a feeling for which they will always come back to this island.
