The shortlist for the Epica Awards, world’s only awards in advertising that are judged exclusively by journalists and editors of media dedicated to creative industries, is out.
Online jury has preselected 738 entries in total this year, which will be further examined by the grand jury that will gather next week in Amsterdam.
Two projects will be representing our region in the finals, and they are:
#Unwanted campaign by McCann Beograd and McCann Podgorica, created for NGO Women’s Right Center, which was shortlisted in the Events category.
And the second is Brilliant Digestion, created by Pristop d.o.o. Ljubljana for Donat Mg, which is shortlisted in the category of Non-Alcoholic Drinks
This year Epica received 4020 entries from 69 countries, which represents a 20% increase on the previous year despite difficult market conditions. This was driven by the return of the Publicis Groupe networks, plus an enthusiastic response from Germany and Latin America.
Indeed, the highest number of entries came from Germany, followed by the United States and France. N
ew countries this year included Iran and Morocco. In terms of networks, BBDO and McCann Worldgroup were particularly well represented.
The full shortlist will be published on Epica website on Thursday, November 8th.
