A successful Croatian short-term renting company – until recently known as Zig Zag – opted for rebranding. The new name of the renowned apartment renter is Irundo, and the entire branding strategy was created by the Zagreb based agency Fabular.
“Rebranding was based on the client’s advantages and traits that differentiate it from other renters. The apartments are located in the very heart of the city, so the city sights and interesting places known only to the inhabitants of the city are at the hands-reach to their guests. They want to feel like migratory birds with adventurous spirits, traveling the world, yet feeling at home anywhere they go. That’s why our brand is named after a bird (swallow – lat. hirundo) that always returns home to its nest. But the name is also read as I-run-do, because we always want to stir up the adventurous spirit of our guests who want to get to know each new place they come to. The key wishes of our guests were also fused into the new slogan ‘Be Adventurous. Feel at home’,” said Anja Bauer Minkara, director of brand strategy and creative director at Fabular.
Fabular developed the new brand strategy, name, slogans and brand concepts, and the visual identity was created by the Manasteriotti DS.
“Visual identity, illustrates the adventure of exploring city streets through city images. In the middle of the sign there is a hidden letter ‘I’ that symbolizes the key strength of the brand – the central location of all the apartments, while a round and symmetrical sign that represents a seal of quality is used in various applications in order to further encourage feelings of security and trust,” said design director Igor Manasteriotti.
Irundo Holiday Rental Apartments offers over 200 comfortable and high quality apartments in six European destinations: Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Rovinj, Split, Vienna and Belgrade. All apartments are located in top locations, in the center of town and close to all local sights. Their basic values are cleanliness and professionalism, position in the city center and an authentic experience for every guest.
Thanks to its business policy, very clear standards and adherence to market trends, Irundo has become a synonym for high quality authentic accommodation. Future plans include further acquisitions and expansion of accommodation capacities, and rebranding was one of the first steps in their development strategy.
