The One Club for Creativity Inducts Six New Legends into the Creative Hall of Fame

There are not many honours in the creative industry whose history stretches back more than six decades. When Leo Burnett was inducted into the Creative Hall of Fame in 1961, a standard was established for an accolade that is not awarded for a single campaign or one successful year, but for a lasting impact on the development of the creative profession.

The One Club for Creativity has announced the names of the new members who will be inducted into the Creative Hall of Fame this year, and among them are some of the most influential figures in contemporary advertising, design, and brand communications.

Among this year’s inductees is Rosie Arnold, one of the most awarded art directors in the history of British advertising, who spent more than three decades shaping the creative output of BBH.

The honour will also go to Janet Champ, a copywriter from Wieden+Kennedy who was behind Nike’s If You Let Me Play campaign, a project that left a significant mark on the way brands communicate with women and issues of equality.

Also on the list is John C Jay, a creative leader whose influence spans retail, advertising, fashion, and culture. Throughout his career, he helped shape brands such as Nike and Uniqlo and is often regarded as one of the pioneers of a culturally relevant approach to branding.

A special place among this year’s honourees belongs to Caroline R. Jones, a copywriter and entrepreneur who worked at J. Walter Thompson and BBDO during her career and became the first Black woman to hold the position of vice president at a major advertising agency in the United States.

Among the inductees is also Piyush Pandey, the long-time creative leader of Ogilvy and a man many consider the father of modern Indian advertising. His work defined a period in which local language, humour, and the everyday lives of ordinary people became an integral part of how major brands communicated in India.

Completing this year’s group is Joyce King Thomas, the creative director credited with creating Mastercard’s Priceless campaign, one of the longest-running and most recognisable platforms in marketing history.

In addition to creative professionals, The One Club for Creativity annually recognises individuals who have made a significant contribution to educating new generations of industry talent. This year, Michael Conrad, former Global Chief Creative Officer of Leo Burnett Worldwide and co-founder of Berlin School of Creative Leadership, will be inducted into the Educators Hall of Fame.

According to Pum Lefebure, Chair of the organisation and co-founder of Design Army, this year’s inductees did not simply create iconic campaigns but helped change the direction of the entire industry. “Their ideas reshaped culture, their leadership opened doors for others, and their impact continues to ripple across generations,” said Lefebure.

The induction ceremony for the new members of the Creative Hall of Fame will take place on September 16 at Capitale in New York.
