Cannes Lions has introduced three specially designated safe zones that will be monitored by trained professionals throughout the festival, reports Rebecca Stewart. These spaces will be open to anyone who “feels uncomfortable, needs support,” or seeks advice from protection specialists. The implementation of these zones follows several women speaking out publicly about their experiences of sexual harassment and assault at the 2024 event.

With an average of 2.5 billion monthly visitors, Amazon is no longer just an e-commerce platform – it is now a comprehensive advertising powerhouse worth €70 billion annually. With more than 200 million Prime Video users and over 105 million monthly Twitch users, Amazon enables advertisers to expand campaigns both within and beyond its ecosystem – including platforms like Meta, Pinterest, and Snap.
Amazon acknowledges that advertising is becoming “a significant contributor to its profitability.” Over half of global Chief Marketing Officers (56%) plan to increase investment in Amazon’s advertising services – surpassed only by YouTube (64%) and TikTok (79%).
Together with Alphabet and Meta, Amazon controls more than half of the global advertising market (excluding China), a notable increase compared to the previous year.
