How the best local TV stories are created

Viewers love local TV series – and who would know that better than Stella Litou, CEO of Pro Plus and RTL Croatia. She will discuss this at SEMPL with Simona Kruhar Gaberšček, Editor-in-Chief of Marketing Magazine Slovenia. They will also touch on other key pillars of Pro Plus, such as news programs and continuous innovation.

“The total amount of time people spend on content is not decreasing, it may even be increasing slightly, but the way people watch it is changing,” says Stella Litou, referring to VOYO, which is available in all six countries of the CMO group. She will also look to the future, or as Litou puts it: “The key is to compete for people’s time and not waste time on activities that don’t yield results. It’s important for teams to have time to think, create, and be creative, and we use various digital tools that help us with that.”

Diversity and inclusion should become the norm

Beauty ideals are at the root of the prejudices we have toward others. Beauty brands play an important role in this as they dictate beauty standards. Mélissa Duhalde, a French beauty marketing expert who has worked in marketing for major cosmetic companies such as L’Oréal, LVMH, and Estée Lauder, and is now part of the Shiseido team, believes that beauty brands must strive for diversity and inclusion if they want to influence the positive self-image of their customers. “Diversity fosters creativity,” she says. At SEMPL, she will talk about how to place diversity and inclusion (D&I) at the center of marketing campaigns. “It’s time for D&I to become the norm, not the exception or prerogative of a few!” she emphasizes.

AI for smarter media buying

Visionary entrepreneur Tom Gavazzi, founder and owner of WOOM.zone from Croatia, who has over three decades of entrepreneurial experience in the event industry, will also be coming to Portorož. In recent years, he has focused on using artificial intelligence in the event sector, and at SEMPL, he will present his vision of how AI can help transform the way companies approach marketing, with a focus on media buying. He believes that understanding how to leverage the power of artificial intelligence is key to successful business.
