Since 1996, the Euro Effie Awards have been the golden standard of proven effective market communications.
The European Association of Communications Agencies announced the members of the jury of the Effie Awards 2019. Traditionally, there will be two juries: the first round jury, who decide on the finalists, and the second round jury, who decide on the winners. This year the juries, for the first time in the history of the European edition of this contest, will be led by representatives of both clients and agencies.
The first round jury will be chaired by Bastien Schupp, Vice President of Global Brand Strategy and Market Communication, Groupe Renault, while Harjot Singh, Strategic Director, McCann Worldgroup, will head the second round jury.
Prvostepeni žiri će prijavljene kampanje ocjenjivati imeđu 13. i 14. juna, dok će drugostepeni žiri zasjedati u Briselu 26. juna 2019.
In the first stage jury of 45 members, there will be four representatives from Slovenia and two from Croatia, who will decide on who will enter the shortlists.
Representatives from Slovenia are Mojca Avšič (Telekom Slovenije), Peter Curk (Petrol), Andrej Krajner (NLB) and Urška Tuškej Lovšin (FDV).
Croatia’s reps in the first stage jury are Ante Šalinović (Media and Advertising Research Director, Ipsos Adria) and Dino Bijač (Marketing and R&D Director, Adria Snacks Company).
In the second round jury, with more than 30 members, Slovenia will be represented by Vikrotija Radojevič Mavrič (Mercator) and Matjaž Butara (Adriatic Slovenica), who will help decide on the winners of Effie Awards Europe 2019.
“While most of us push to get the most creative campaigns out there, the only thing that really counts is their effectiveness. I am honoured to chair the jury of this prestigious award and look forward to reviewing powerful cases with my fellow marketers!”, said Bastien Schupp.
Harjot Singh added: “Effectiveness is the only measure of the value of our work. As the landscape of our industry changes and broadens the discourse on effectiveness must keep pace. It must be dynamic. The Effies are the most definitive, credible and recognized standard of the most compelling effectiveness stories for our industry. The new changes to the Effie program and the new categories that have been introduced as a result are all very exciting and timely. They have been made possible by the relentless hard work and deliberation from all members of the steering committee and I am very excited to see it all come to life in 2019.”
Effie Awards Europe this year also added two new categories:
– Marketing & Business Solutions, which will award innovative marketing and business solutions that bring results ain any communication activity.
– Best of the Best, which recognises the most effective marketing efforts in the region and is open to any campaign that has won a Gold Effie in any national Effie Awards program in Europe in 2018.
