“All our knowledge has its origins in our perceptions” – Leonardo da Vinci

This year marks 500 years since the death of the great Leonardo Da Vinci, and Direct Media Academy joins the memory of the genius visionary artist

Exactly 532 years ago, one drawing was created with ink on paper.

Today, after so many centuries, this drawing inspires us while we enter the route coordinates on your map of tomorrow.

You can all recognize it. It shows a figure of a man in two overlapping positions, around which a circle and square are drawn on top of each other. It is based on the correlations of ideal human proportions and geometry.

The Vitruvian Man. An ideal man. A man as the centre of everything. A man as a universe.

And why was Leonardo chosen to be the underlying idea of the Direct Media Academy 2019, which announces entry into a new era of communication?

In addition to the visionary nature of this universal genius and a symbol of an era, there is another reason – La cosmografia del minor mondo, depicted in the Vitruvian Man drawing.

Cosmography of the micro-world is in fact an entire philosophy behind which Leonardo stood firmly: the human body and mind work in analogy with the universe itself.

He is the author of the Woman.Comm Club project, which is successfully expanding in all countries of the Adriatic region.
