Another edition of BalCannes is starting – a competition where agencies have a unique opportunity to present their work to clients from eight countries of the region and show them their best projects. Entries open on June 1, 2019, and those selected in top 25 will be presented to the audience of the Weekend Media Festival in the prime slot, and will have the chance to win the lion statues, while the best agency of BalCannes will once again get the opportunity to enter their work to Cannes Lions.
BalCannes once again unites the region with the most creative campaigns and the highest quality projects: this year, distinguished experts – representatives of clients, agencies and media – will gather to select the 25 best international projects. The selected works will have the honour to present why their projects are the best, and they’ll do so in front of the potential clients, who will be in the audience of the Weekend Media Festival, which will be held in Rovinj from 19 to 22 September.
BalCannes lions are heavy; they are a special recognition which is carried home only by the strongest, and they will be presented in seven categories: the best agency, the best project, the best project for the foreign market, but also for the regional one; and each of the three juries will select one project that they consider the best under their criteria. This means that once again we will have the chance to see how same projects are observed by three different juries.
The agency that stands out among its peers will take the title of the best agency of BalCannes, and will be rewarded with participation in the prestigious Cannes Lions competition this year, where they will represent the entire region.
In addition to the Yellow Pages of BalCannes, the success stories from this show will also be celebrated and immortalized in the book that annually collects award-winning projects from the regional communications industry – 25 outstanding projects will thus move after the show from the Rovinj stage to the pages of the new edition of the Creative Portfolio. Last year’s 25 winning projects in the region can be seen in this year’s gorgeous edition of the book, whose pages will inspire you to get your entries ready for BalCannes.
Small projects or large campaigns; local projects, or those for foreign markets – it doesn’t matter, as long as you successfully incorporate originality, creativity and market relevance, everything goes! Don’t hesitate, prepare the projects and make everyone see your abilities worthy of a lion.
