Finalists of the AdStars International Advertising Festival have been announced. Among the 18,000 entered works, 215 jury members from 70 different countries selected the best for the shortlists. Among them are two of the agency Imago Ogilvy from Zagreb, who reached the shortlists in seven categories.
The first work is the Lion winning campaign for Jana, Malena and Klepetan – the most beautiful love story. The storks have entered the shortlists in four categories:
Media – Use of Media – Use of screens
Media – Product & Service – Drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic)
Outdoor – Ambient – Live Advertising and Events
Outdoor – Product & Service – Drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic)
Imago’s second shortlisted work is the print ad for Dormirin, which has just been featured in the Lürzer’s Archive. For its extraordinary performance it is shortlisted in the categories:
Print – Print Craft – Art direction
Print – Print Craft – Illustration
Print – Product & Service – Pharmaceutical/Toiletries
“It’s always nice to be ranked among the best. And especially so when the ranking is globally recognized. When your work gets selected into the very elite by people who are the TOP names of global creative scene, then these works are obviously valuable. In order to win a prize, in addition to impeccably good work, you also have to have a lot of luck. But when your work is recognized and rewarded in many different places and festivals, then you obviously have a work that is extraordinary. This is further proof that the works we do, we do very well,” said Darko Bosnar, Art & Innovation Director at Imago Ogilvy.
“I am pleased that Malena and Klepetan continue their flight of love across the festivals even after the Cannes. This only confirms that the Lion was not a fluke, but that the size of this campaign has been recognized with a completely different jury. And since I’m still an old-fashioned fan of the ‘boring’ print, I’m happy that Dormirin also found itself among the best,” said Igor Mladinović, Chief Creative Director at Imago Ogilvy.
AdSTARS festival is the fastest growing global advertising festival that is investing huge amount of money and effort to quickly climb among the biggest. The number of entries is growing rapidly each year and predictions are that this trend will continue. The fact that the jury members are globally known names, among which are also those who presided over the Cannes juries this year, talks volumes about the size and importance of these awards.
Final judging will be done in August, and winners will be announced after 25th of August.
