The IAB Slovenia recently completed the research on the gross investment in digital advertising AdEx for 2015. Aim of the AdEx research was to obtain data on the actual investments in digital advertising in Slovenia.
“In the first quarter of this year we anonymously collected data on investments in the Slovenian media and the investment in international platforms and communication channels. In the study we included one hundred top media publishers on the basis of the scale of measurement of visits to websites MOSS, and media and digital agencies,” President of IAB Slovenia Timotej Gala explained the basis for this research.
AdEx research results show that in 2015 the total digital advertising market was worth €29.9 million, which is 26 percent more than the year earlier. Internet advertising in Slovenia thus represents over 20 percent of the total advertising pie. “For comparison, at the European level the value of internet advertising amounted to €36.2 billion, which is 13.1 percent more than the year earlier,” said Gala. Thus, internet advertising for the first time beat the value of TV advertising, which was last year worth €33.3 billion.
This year the IAB Slovenia intends to establish a program for certification of skills and competencies of experts in the field of digital marketing, the so-called DMK program. Gala commented: “Education and certification program are key projects that will enable faster development of this industry in Slovenia. The project aims to raise the level of knowledge and competence in the industry and provide standardized training of personnel in order to facilitate the process of hiring new staff.”
