More than 300 participants from the worlds of technology, investment, tourism and innovation gathered in Tivat for this year’s edition of the Game Changer Montenegro Festival, an event that once again combined conference content with awards, networking opportunities and accompanying programmes.
Alongside lectures and panel discussions held across two stages, the festival expanded beyond conference venues, focusing on connecting professionals, promoting innovation and strengthening the regional business community.
One of the central events was the third edition of the Game Changer Montenegro Awards, which recognised projects, companies and individuals who achieved notable results in technology, entrepreneurship, digital solutions and social impact over the past year.
Among this year’s winners were projects from the fields of artificial intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, tourism and the startup ecosystem. The award for Next Gen Project of the Year went to Crnogorchi Project (Bild Studio), developed with the support of Sotheby’s Montenegro, while the title of Innovation Company of the Year was awarded to Five Group.
For contributions to the digital community, Ilija Erkić, creator of the Crnogorski vodič project, received recognition, while the Ecotech Progress of the Year award went to the Vatrogon BOBOT 3.14 project.
Other laureates included Paidt MNE, Filip Šoć, Skenify, Inovul, One AI, Montenegrina, the Digital Kiosk / Business Integration project, and Zuno Games, which was named Startup of the Year.
The festival’s highest regional recognition, West Balkans Tech Company of the Year, was awarded to mBrainTrain for developing technology solutions with international potential.
Part of the awards programme was also dedicated to social impact. The Women Equality Award was presented to Asocijacija liderki Crne Gore, while special categories recognised projects in artificial intelligence, healthcare, tourism and digital security.
In addition to the business programme, this year’s festival also introduced a sports component. The inaugural women’s padel tournament, Game Changer Open, organised in cooperation with Asocijacija liderki Crne Gore, brought together eight women’s doubles teams at the courts of Luštica Bay.
The festival concluded with Black Velvet Affair, an event designed for partners, speakers and festival participants. Held inside a former submarine facility, it served as an informal closing of the multi-day programme and an opportunity for further networking among guests.
Through conference sessions, awards, sports activities and networking events, Game Changer Montenegro continued to strengthen its position as a regional platform bringing together representatives of the business, technology and investment communities, further highlighting Tivat’s growing importance on the map of business and innovation events in Southeast Europe.
