After winning multiple marketing awards at the largest regional marketing festival, Sempl in Portorož, Direct Media has now received recognition for the volunteering projects of its staff in 2017.
The Direct Media System employees have been awarded the “Corporate Volunteering Award” in the category “The Most Successful Partnership in the Local Community” for the reconstruction of the outdoor amphitheater in the Children’s Village in Sremska Kamenica.
50 employees of the Direct Media System participated in the reconstruction of the amphitheater in the open part of the complex of the social welfare institution “Dr Milorad Pavlović”. After the worn out concrete was replaced, the employees of Direct Media painted the amphitheater in the colors of the rainbow which is mentioned in the anthem of the Children’s Village. On the same day, a projection of virtual exhibition “Experience Tesla” was organized by the company for the kids in the village.
Painting of the amphitheater lasted 8 hours, and in that time employees painted around 400 square meters of concrete, which Direct Media previously repaired.
Employees of Direct Media system volunteer each year, and during previous volunteer actions, they have helped repair over 1,000 square feet of space in homes in Zvečanska, premises at the Belgrade’s House for The Children of the Street, and have spent four months helping empower women and children wards of the Safe House in Belgrade.
The Corporate Volunteering Award is awarded by the Forum for Responsible Business and the Smart Collective, with the aim of recognizing and promoting the best volunteering practices in companies. This recognition is awarded in several categories, and was awarded at the CSR Forum 2017, a conference devoted to socially responsible business.
