THE COCA-COLA COMPANY ANNOUNCES LOAN AGREEMENT WITH IONIQA TECHNOLOGIES

The Coca-Cola Company announced a new agreement extending a loan to Ioniqa Technologies (The Netherlands) to facilitate the development of Ioniqa’s proprietary technology to produce high-grade, recycled PET content from hard-to-recycle PET waste. The agreement is designed to accelerate the development and deployment of high-grade recycled content PET for use in bottles used by The Coca-Cola Company..

This investment supports the company’s global vision to work toward a World Without Waste, which includes a goal to create packaging made of at least 50% recycled material by 2030. The new technology supports the circular economy for plastics by allowing packages such as colored PET bottles that may have been excluded from certain recycling streams to be recycled into food-grade quality packaging.

TELE2 DRONATION CONTINUES

Once again, instead of buying Christmas presents for business partners, Tele2 once again wants to use the money to help fire fighters by providing them with badly needed drones. This time, the drones will be donated to the Firefighters from Zagreb, Ploče, Vukovar, Orebić and Đakovo. They care about the safety of everyone, so this is one way to thank them.

Drones will be extremely useful for early fire detection, remote location tracking, and Wi-Fi communication with people on the mainland. Some places that take firefighters at least half an hour to reach, a drone can reach in just a few minutes, so this donation definitely goes to the right hands.

NEW BOOK BY ELIA PEKICA PAGON, THE WISDOM OF ARAMIS, PUBLISHED IN THE US

After the new book of essays by Elia Pekica Pagon, The Wisdom of Aramis, was published in November 2018, on December 12 this year it also got its US edition and became available in the international market, including renowned online bookstores such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

The design of the cover was done by Borut Benčina, and the publisher for the US is Balboa Press, A Division of Hay House. The book sells in the US in paperback, for $20.99.

SAATCHI & SAATCHI WINS SIEMENS HOME APPLIANCES GLOBAL ACCOUNT

Saatchi & Saatchi has been awarded Siemens Home Appliances’ global account and will lead its brand advertising strategy and creative services.

The agency’s Düsseldorf and China offices will work together to sustain and build the German brand’s global presence. Siemens entered the Chinese market in 1994 and has penetrated 31 provinces and nearly 700 cities.

GOOGLE TO INVEST MORE THAN $1 BILLION IN NEW YORK CITY EXPANSION

Google will invest more than $1 billion to expand its New York City presence, the search giant said in a blog post.

The Alphabet division said it had reached lease agreements at 315 and 345 Hudson Street and signed a letter of intent at 550 Washington Street to make up the new 1.7 million square-foot campus, called Google Hudson Square.

Google aims to move into the new Hudson buildings by 2020 and the Washington Street location by 2022, Alphabet Chief Financial Officer Ruth Porat said in the blog post.

The move could allow the company to more than double the current 7,000 people it employs in the city over the next decade.
