Vesna Beganović, CEO of Via Media, is almost impossible to reach these days. Meetings, workshops, final preparations before the Branding Conference #6, which is being held in Sarajevo on Friday … In the modest time economy, Vesna found a space to answer a couple of questions for Media Marketing.
Media Marketing: While all the other agencies have a generally passive attitude towards the development of the communication industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina, agency Via Media, through the organization of the Branding Conference, for the sixth consecutive year brings to Sarajevo leading brand experts from the region and the world. What does Branding Conference mean for Via Media as an agency?
Vesna Beganović: We work, develop and connect. We invest our knowledge, time and energy, because we believe in the positive processes that contribute to the development of the market and ourselves. In addition, this conference for us means meeting with dear friends, meeting new people and their creative energy.
Media Marketing: The list of participants in the program of this year’s conference is very diverse. Everyone can find at least a topic or two that is interesting for them and that make it worthwhile to spend a day in such company.
Vesna Beganović: Anyone engaged in communications, marketing and the media can find something in the program that meets their interests. They should certainly not miss the opportunity to meet and talk with people who are highly motivated with the energy that comes from our country.
Media Marketing: One of the main topics of this year’s conference is neuromarketing. What are your findings on its application in the region? How much is it present here?
Vesna Beganović: We had the opportunity to learn about the basics of neuromarketing in the regional and local market. There is the possibility of evaluating advertising, measuring emotional reactions, the level of attention and movement of views per ad.
Some clients are willing to learn more about it, get involved, while some are skeptical, which of course depends on the degree of readiness and level of knowledge.
Media Marketing: Is everything ready? Via Media team pumped up, just itching for the whole thing to start and pass, so they could return to normal life? :)
Vesna Beganović: It may sound unbelievable, but in the last 20 days we have organized 11 events, of which one alone had 850 guests. In parallel with this, we are daily doing workshops in schools and trainings, and I will lead some of them even through Wednesday :) . After the Branding Conference, we will have a day and a half for a break, and then the events of our clients continue. Normal life?!? For us, this is normal. :)
Media Marketing: What is the message on the eve of Branding #6 that you would send to the communication community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region?
Vesna Beganović: We have the opportunity for branding of the region in the creative and cultural industries. Let us join, capitalize on our knowledge, and create new jobs in our industry. Let’s open the door for Millennials and new ideas.
