The Days of Communication in Rovinj are approaching (14 to 17 April), and for our interviewee today we have chosen Dunja Ivana Ballon, executive director of HURA and a member of the Organizing Committee. Dunja has been involved with the Festival since its beginnings – in the preparation and organization of previous Days of Communication – and is an excellent source on the topic of what to expect and why one should come to this year’s Days of Communication.
What are the comparative advantages of the Days of Communication? What can visitors expect to hear and learn about at this year’s festival?
We are primarily focused on content. We bring quality speakers because we’ve noticed that companies really need to justify budgets for the education of their top personnel. Coming to sunny Rovinj, on the coast, in the spring, in one of the most luxurious design hotels in the world, for socializing and networking with new/old colleagues, cool exhibits, great parties and other accompanying events of the festival, all these by themselves are still not a sufficient reason for their visit.
At Days of Communication it’s always exciting to see which domestic companies have been declared the best in the country by the industry itself. We ensure that these awards are there not only for the sake of existing clients, but that they are relevant to and help agencies bring in new business and clients, and that they represent a confirmation of well spent marketing budgets and a good selection of partners for advertisers and companies.
Could you share an anecdote from the festival with us?
Our Festival is like a graduation party for the business crew so… no… I would use a joker here :)
Why Days of Communication 2016?
Because last year’s festival was praised so highly by the participants (a whopping 99% said they would come again this year; Ipsos Puls, Research DK 2015), and their recommendation seems to me the most credible. And I look forward to chilling out on the sunny coast. See you in Rovinj!
