Jovana Lea Simić, owner of the company JDM Ltd. and creator of the jam brand Little Blue Pot, is a great lover of gastronomy. Although she is only 26 years old, Jovana is an example of a successful and responsible entrepreneur. Within six months from the start of production, she managed to bring her brand to the market of the United States. Little Blue Pot represents a line of luxury food products with a high degree of added value.
On Saturday, 4 June, at the Second Session of the Creative Republic of Bihać, Jovana will participate in a panel discussion on the topic How Small Become Big.
Media Marketing: You will participate at the session of the Creative Republic of Bihać. Have you ever been to Bihać? Have you seen Una and its waterfalls?
Jovana Lea Simić: I’ve never been in Bihać and I’m really looking forward to it! I love to spend time in nature, and especially by the water, and I hope that, in addition to participating in the session of the BKR, I will have the opportunity for some additional enjoyment. I also look forward to some good eating.
Media Marketing: What are your entrepreneurial experiences?
Jovana Lea Simić: They are very diverse and situation dependent. So many things can happen in a single day, both motivating and discouraging, but this pace really suits me. I feel like I’ve graduated from three faculties over the course of one year, because every day you step out of the comfort zone, change behavior and acquire knowledge.
Media Marketing: What is your message to the entrepreneurs of Bihać?
Jovana Lea Simić: Use all the good things life offers you, and change the bad together!
Media Marketing: Your jam is one of the most expensive in the world and has reached the US market in record time. What was crucial for that: the quality, the vision or the courage and audacity to leap over the Atlantic Ocean and put a price tag that would make many people here pause?
Jovana Lea Simić: Crucial thing was that all the elements that you mentioned were present at any moment, because only an uncompromising attitude towards quality is good enough. It is important to stand up for your beliefs and not do a job only for the money or to sell it later on. You must really believe in and love what you do, so that your dynamic and stressful entrepreneurial days would pass in happiness.
Media Marketing: Last question, how do small become big?
Jovana Lea Simić: Confidently and responsibly.
