This will be the third consecutive year that the Branding Conference in Sarajevo, as part of the partnership with the prestigious Cannes Lions Festival, will organize the Young Lions B&H competition, which gives the winners a unique opportunity to compete with colleagues from around the world for global recognition at Cannes.
The concept of competition implies that teams composed of two professionals, in the fields of design, PR and digital, meet at a location where they will be isolated from their senior colleagues, so they could respond to a brief whose client is unveiled only at the beginning of the competition, and do all the work within just 24 hours.
What gives this contest a special significance and a unique motivation for competitors is the fact that the client is always a nonprofit organization for which they create a conceptual campaign solution that can have a positive impact on our society as a whole.
“We are happy that UNICEF is once again part of this event that opens up great opportunities for young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina to develop professionally, and we believe that with the right support and mentoring they can unlock the doors of a new, happier and more advanced society. It is important for young creatives to become familiar with our work and the topics we work on, and we look forward to the solutions that will be part of the Young Lions BiH competition, in response to the communication challenges relevant to UNICEF,” said Nela Kačmarčik, Head of Communication at UNICEF BiH.
A trip to Cannes, accommodation fees and a five-day festival, with a combined worth of €5,000, are just part of the benefits of the GRAND PRIX award in this competition. Far more significant value lies in the fact that this is an opportunity to be present at a central gathering of world stars of creative industries. This brings with it priceless opportunities for absorption of knowledge, new information, the opportunity to exchange ideas with the best of the best and to feel the contagious energy that will undoubtedly reflect on the future work of the winners.
Thanks to this opportunity, a young lion of today may become the King already tomorrow. Literally. So there can be no dilemma whether it is worth applying for the contest. The question is only who will be the best?
