Amazon is doing some great creative advertising this holiday season, first with the signing boxes, and now with some awesome ads using the winning internet formula – cats and babies. Agency Above + Beyond knows you can’t go wrong with cute cats and babies, so they employed the unsuspecting stars to promote Amazon’s Music Unlimited platform.
The first ad shows a confused baby gliding past a Christmas tree on a robot vacuum cleaner, while Chamillionaire’s “Ridin’” provides the soundtrack.
Next up is Ginger the cat, stranded among a sea of fairy lights. And, as if the animal’s expression didn’t say it all, Kelis is singing “I hate you so much right now” to dial up the humor.
The ads illustrate Amazon’s thought that life is always better when accompanied by the right tune, and finish with the line, “40 million songs. One for every moment.” The ads will run in the U.K. and U.S. over the holiday period.
