The 24th International Festival of Creativity Golden Drum announced the finalists of this year’s competition program. More than 1000 creative works competed for the coveted awards, but only 188 entered the shortlist. On Friday, 20 October, we will find out who will hold the valuable prizes on the big stage in Ljubljana.
Eighteen works from the Adriatic region entered the shortlist, with McCann Beograd and Grey Ljubljana having the most finalists -five each. They are followed by New Moment New Ideas Company (3), Imago Ogilvy (2) and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey, Luna/TBWA and VBG with one each.
“I am really pleased with the results. I was impressed by the variety and the quality of the work which can easily compete with the best of the world. The judging experience was very positive as I got a lot of local insight and understood more the market, so I am really pleased to share with you the final results”, said Bruno Bertelli, Best Piece Jury President and Global Chief Creative Officer at Publicis Worldwide in Italy.
Submitted entries in the Best Piece section were evaluated by the Jury President Bruno in collaboration with Zsolt Balogh, DDB Budapest, Hungary, Alice Burton, CHI & Partners, United Kingdom, Vasilije Ćorluka, Publicis One Adriatic, Macedonia, Dušan Drakalski, Demner, Merlicek & Bergmann, Austria, Nikolai Fabrika, Instinct (BBDO Russia) in Cheapshot, Russia, Ioana Filip, MRM//McCann Romania, Romania, Igor Mladinovic, Imago Ogilvy, Croatia, Alemsah Ozturk, 4129Grey in Grey EMEA, Turkey, Kuba Sagan, K2, Poland and Svetlana Tsvelenyeva, TBWA\Ukraine, Ukraine, evaluated the submitted entries in the Best Piece section.

Our goal was very simple: we wanted to honour the work and those who created it. So we gave everything a fair chance, talked a lot, and tried very hard to find the good and then the great. Everything shortlisted met a strict standard. It really had to represent the best practice in our industry, in this region. And everything that won was work we would be proud to have been a part of. Thank you for the experience.”
Members who joined John Mescall at the jury session were Oleg Barinboim, Tutkov Budkov, Russia, Julia Dovlatova, Geometry Global Prague, Czech Republic, Vilmos Farkas, Publicis One Hungary, Hungary, Petra Krulc, Grey Ljubljana, Slovenia, Polina Maguire, Havas Moscow, Russia, Mikko Pietilä, TBWA\Helsinki, Finland, Jana Savić Rastovac, McCann Beograd, Serbia, Maciek Waligóra, DDB&tribal Warsaw, Poland, Martin Woska, TRIAD Advertising and President, Art Directors Club Slovakia, Slovakia, Bülent Yar, Mindshare Turkey, Turkey.
