There is often talk about entrepreneurs and the internet, but this is usually about entrepreneurs who have chosen to launch web based enterprises. But what about those who engage in traditional trades that existed even before the internet?

In the autumn promotional and educational campaign “My job, my domain,” Foundation “Register of National Internet Domain of Serbia” (RNIDS) uses testimonials to present exactly such small companies, which have successful performance on the internet, although they deal with jobs that are not directly related to online business. The campaign aims to show the promotional opportunities of the internet for small, local businesses, which mostly still don’t take full advantage of modern communication technologies. In addition to the testimonials, the campaign is also based on content marketing, through educational activities on good practices in internet presence.

Small businessmen from Serbia, successful in their jobs, but also in their online performance, were first invited to apply for the competition “Good examples of internet presence” in spring, which RNIDS organized to commemorate 10 years of its operation. As finalists of the competition, two women entrepreneurs were selected who have taken advantage of the fact that websites with the national .rs domain are given preferential status in searches relevant for local, Serbian market. With their presence on their own online sites, they give a real example of how to use the internet for business purposes and for small businesses, even though they deal with completely offline businesses. The two of them shared their experience in testimonials and mini interviews which are available at naravno.rs.

The authors of the campaign are creative director Lazar Bošković (AgitPROP), and Miodrag Veselinović (Metropolis), as art director. Responsible for media relations was Dragana Pešić – Lević (Blink), video production was done by TAG media, photos by FVS, and on behalf of RNIDS the campaign is managed by Predrag Milićević and Jelena Ožegović. Integrated campaign “My job, my domain” consists of a micro site, video testimonials, radio and TV spots, online advertising, OOH, educational materials, interviews, authored articles for professional journals and other content.
