Even though thermometers are still showing hot temperatures, some bars in Zagreb and Belgrade have started serving ice-free drinks these days. Along with the drinks, guests received only a straw with the message “Wondering why there is no ice? It would be a lot cooler if you did something about global warming.”
It is a message from the WWF, one of the largest and most respected world-wide independent nature conservation organizations, which also came with several simple tips for bar patrons of the bars teaching us how everyone can daily influence climate change. The guests could only get ice if they shared a photo of their drink and a message through their social networks, and thus spread information among their friends. First to join the action designed by the team of Bruketa & Žinić OM were the Brewbites Zagreb and Courtyard Belgrade City Center hotel in Belgrade.
“Climate change is a big problem today, and if we don’t do something, there will be a bigger problem tomorrow. For this reason, we are conducting the action of raising people’s awareness of how each of us can help. Don’ just sit there and watch the ice melt!” said WWF Adria.
