The agency for integrated communications Ruskin & Hunt on 24 November in Belgrade celebrated its partnership with one of the world’s leading agencies, Golin, a member of the Interpublic Group (IPG).
Celebration of this partnership was inspired by a wedding theme, so the agency Ruskin & Hunt organized on the occasion a wedding to remember. Just like in a “real” wedding, guests were decorated with rosemary, and the symbolic amounts of money that the guests left, as the tradition dictates, for the decorations on their lapels, were given to charity.
The guests were welcomed by the Executive Director of Golin Belgrade, Đorđe Odavić, who announced that Ruskin & Hunt “took the surname” of the partner agency, and will continue to operate as Golin Belgrade.
“For 60 years Golin represents an inspiration and a role model to many. The courage to initiate changes, to accept and implement them, is our common value. Our motto is Go all in, and our commitment and passion is to promote courage instead of mediocrity,” said Odavić who wished his team successful work within the IPG family, and his guests some good time.
Fred Cook, CEO of Golin, and Matt Neale president EMEA, Golin, also addressed the guests at the “wedding” via video link. Cook on this occasion said he is excited that the Golin brand “will be represented by such a great company in Belgrade” and added he hopes he will be able to soon visit the new Belgrade team of Golin.
Neale raised a toast for the occasion using “a quite special Serbian liqueur found at great expense in New York”, and said they are proud of the partnership with the agency Ruskin & Hunt, with which Golin shares “the aspiration to create the defining agency of the decade, not only in Serbia but throughout the region.”
As in every wedding celebration, here as well the ceremonial wedding cake was cut, and guests partied late into the night in the rhythm of current and evergreen hits, performed by members of the Loco band. For this occasion, Golin Belgrade team also did the Mannequin Challenge, which you can see below.
The celebration, which was only missing the exchange of rings, was attended by a great number of guests, including representatives of the state, the diplomatic corps, media, as well as clients and partners of the agency and numerous famous persons from Serbia and the region.
