From decisions that prevent startups from reaching the market to technology that is already changing classrooms, the first Business Day announcements indicate which business and societal changes this year’s NetWork 14 will address.
The ten best and worst practices of failed startups may sound like a contradiction, but that is precisely the premise of the presentation that Dragan Petric, technology journalist, analyst and executive editor of Bug magazine, will deliver at this year’s NetWork 14 conference.
In the keynote Top 10 Best and Worst Practices of Failed Startups, Petric will examine the decisions that prevent innovative products and business models from reaching the market, users or sustainable operations. Instead of presenting only successful examples, experiences from the startup community will serve as a basis for analyzing mistakes from which entrepreneurs, managers and investors can draw more concrete business lessons.
The second announced session shifts the focus from companies to classrooms. The panel AI in Education, organized by the conference in partnership with COI Step by Step, will open the question of how artificial intelligence is already changing teaching, learning and the development of knowledge. The discussion will not remain limited to the possibilities offered by new tools. At its center will be the position of teachers and professors, the ways in which students use AI, and the competencies with which today’s generations will enter universities and the labor market in several years.
The panel will also present the first systematic data on the use of AI tools among students and teachers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They should provide a more concrete basis for discussing whether the education system can keep pace with the changes already taking place and what consequences they have for schools, companies and future employers.
This year’s NetWork 14 will be held from October 21 to 23, 2026, in Neum. Under the slogan HUMAN UPGRADE, the program will address the impact of technology on learning, work, business development and organizations, with an emphasis on the role of people in digital transformation.
Registration fees at regular prices are available from July 1 to September 30, 2026. Information about the program, registration and prices is available on the conference website and its official social media channels.
