The WARC Media 100 list, an independent global benchmark for the most awarded campaigns and companies in media, has been released.
This annual ranking compiles results from the most significant global and regional media awards from 2024. The awards tracked were determined in collaboration with the WARC Rankings Advisory Board and a global survey of industry experts.
Anna Hamill, Senior Editor at WARC Creative:
“The WARC Media 100 is the annual global ranking of the most awarded campaigns and companies in media. As the industry’s global standard, it showcases the best use of media and its impact on campaign success.”
Three Key Themes of This Year’s Ranking
- Overcoming Fragmentation with Distinctive Brand Elements
Brands like CeraVe, Barbie, and Sprite leveraged their distinctive visual elements (colors, characters, and meme content) to create a consistent presence across multiple platforms, enabling them to expand and generate viral cultural moments. - The Power of Print Media
In a world saturated with digital content, campaigns like the L’Enfant Bleu children’s book and eBay’s partnership with Vogue demonstrated that print formats can still capture attention, especially among target audiences such as fashion enthusiasts and parents. - The Power of Utility in Media
The ranking highlighted how technology can address real-world issues. Examples include WhatsApp groups used in the Nosotras Women Connecting campaign for political change, QR codes in The Handshake Hunt campaign to drive sales, and pet collar data analysis to assess earthquake risks.
