Volkswagen is entering the ride sharing arena with MOIA, its new mobility brand that aims to revolutionize carpooling.
Announced earlier this week at TechCrunch Berlin, the car-sharing platform will offer fully electric six-seater cars with services designed to encourage people to overcome their resistance to sharing a ride — the design is aimed to enhance personal space, comfort and accessibility. Customers book and pay by app, and an algorithim groups passengers with similar destinations together. The newly designed car will launch in Hamburg at the end of 2018. The effort pledges to take one million cars off the road.
Amsterdam creative agency KRFL created the name, visual identity, branding, tagline and the launch campaign for MOIA’s electric ride-sharing car, as well as a VR experience that gives people a potential look at what it’s like to ride in one of the vehicles.
