A mistake generated by artificial intelligence became the starting point of “jajeftiček”, an exploratory and self-initiated artistic project by Fran Mubrin that has over recent months evolved into a combination of digital process, personal symbolism and everyday visual reflection.
The pop-up exhibition, held last Friday, May 15, lasted only 180 minutes, yet within that short format it gathered around fifty guests from the worlds of media, culture, design and marketing. Rather than functioning as a traditional gallery setup, the event acted as a temporary entrance into an authorial world that continuously changes and expands.
Through the character of jajeftiček, Mubrin explores emotional symbolism, childhood memories and motifs connected to the regions of the Drava River, Podravina and Zagorje. The project builds a recognizable visual rhythm through color, intuitive composition and graphic expression, balancing between naive imagination and contemporary digital language.
The exhibition presented jajeftiček not only as a motif, but also as an open artistic process – a space of play, nostalgia, reinterpretation of identity and a personal archive of emotions. Through this approach, the project can also be viewed as a contemporary reinterpretation of naive art, where simplicity and emotional immediacy are translated into a new visual expression shaped by digital tools and personal symbolism.
The works created within the project combine digital methods with an analog approach, creating an authorial language that continues to develop beyond the exhibition itself through new formats and future encounters with audiences.
