John Jameson last weekend at the Brvnara gathered true lovers of good parties. Although tickets were in high demand, the guest list was strictly limited so only 100 handpicked people enjoyed in all Jameson’s surprises. The host was actor Amar Bukvić, and along with the distinctive funk sound of Songkillers, audience was entertained by the stand-up comedian Vlatko Štampar.
At the party, organized by PR agency Komunikacijski laboratorij for client Pernod Ricard, familiar faces gathered, such as stylist and blogger Barbara Repe, graffiti artist Slaven Lunar Kosanović and always different Mario Petreković.
A special feature of this party was the fact that its location was kept a secret from all the guests right until the last moment; Jameson’s special bus transported them to the Brvnara, the new gathering place for creative in Zagreb.
There they were greeted by DJ Phillipe, part of the famous FRüHSTüCK, phillitchevanje or CFSN collective, and the party was opened with a performance of Vivaldi’s “Spring”. The party was also made special by Songkillers, and the proper dose of laughter was delivered by one of the most famous Croatian stand-up comedians Vlatko Štampar. In addition to music and laughter, Jameson also ensured some good time over foosball, darts, making caricatures and performance with fire, while hunger was quenched with delicious burgers and chestnuts.
“What I like about Jameson is the insistence on quality of life, broadening the horizons and meeting new people. A great group of people assembled here tonight. New contacts were made and I look forward to the next party that only Jameson can prepare,” concluded the host of the event and one of the longtime members of the Jameson family, actor Amar Bukvić.
Sine Metu or fear a bit less, live a bit more. This was the motto of Jameson’s party, with which many fans on Facebook identified. Among the numerous applicants, John Jameson selected only a handful, and with an invitation delivered at their doorstep brought them into its large and daring family.
