We are accustomed to seeing the best environmentally charged campaigns from NGO’s, and this time we have one quite striking series of print ads for Greenpeace Canada.
This time, the NGO dedicated to preserving environment partnered with the agency Rethink to create a series of print ads that warn about the dangers of plastic for the inhabitants of our oceans, titled Straws Suck. The striking visuals greatly enforce the main message of the campaign: “Don’t suck the life from our oceans”
As some establishments move to eliminate straws, there are still millions more that need to follow in their footsteps, so the agency designed these graphic images to prompt businesses large and small to rethink their straw usage.
“Straws are only the first step. We need to start a conversation about the continued usage of other single-use plastics such as lids, cups and containers, and how they’re contributing to the plastic pollution crisis,” the agency said in their campaign description.
