How many times have you regretted not having enough gigabytes to listen to the end of your favorite song on YouTube?
Tele2 offers its users the LIMITLESS GB data package, and the new offer is promoted with a new online campaign, with a message for all those who are not users of this package. For those who do not have enough gigabytes, there are always YouTube spoilers!
The Tele2 YouTube Spoilers campaign concept relies on the fact that people who do not have unlimited data often do not even have the ability to watch the music videos to the end on YouTube. Tele2 has decided to humorously inform them through YouTube pre-roll ads on the content of trending music videos so they could save their precious gigabytes.
The idea is that the pre-roll ad gives a “spoiler” of the favorite music videos, with a flat reading of part of the lyrics. Concept was created and realized by iProspect digital agency, part of the Dentsu Aegis Network.
One of the reasons why the campaign is running on YouTube is that this platform has a reach of whopping 79% of Croatia’s internet population, and achieves consistent ratings regardless of the time of the year, iProspect explained.
Originator of the idea is Vito Kasumović, who collaborated on the campaign as a copywriter together with the crew of Imago Ogilvy, which worked with iProspect on the development and implementation of the campaign.
