Slovenian creative studio Digital Da Vincis has been named among the 20 nominees for Websites of the Year 2026, the annual international competition organized by Readymag, a platform for creating websites without coding. The nomination recognizes the website of the experimental project Red Blue Yellow Black Again, built using the platform’s tools.
The project was developed in collaboration with Magnific and draws on the work of Alexander Rodchenko, one of the pioneers of photography. Using generative artificial intelligence, its creators reinterpret his visual expression and explore the possibilities that contemporary AI tools offer for digital creativity.
The nomination for Readymag Websites of the Year continues a series of recognitions the project has received throughout 2026. At SoMo Borac, it won second place in the artificial intelligence category, was shortlisted at the Kaktus festival in Belgrade, and reached the finals of the Clio Creator Awards in October. It previously won gold at the Slovenian Advertising Festival (SOF) and received recognition at The FWA, Awwwards and The Webby Awards.
Kirill Karnovich-Valua, creative director and founder of Digital Da Vincis, emphasizes that the nomination holds particular significance because of Readymag’s approach to digital design.
“Readymag’s Website of the Year selection is known for highlighting independent creators and studios whose work helps shape trends in digital design. This year, the focus is on the web as a space for creative expression. That is why this nomination means so much to us. It is recognition of the way we told a story through artificial intelligence in this project.”
Founded in 2012, Readymag allows users to freely arrange elements in a way inspired by print publication design, as well as create interactive animations without coding. Websites of the Year is an annual competition that focuses on visual communication, interactive design, storytelling and the creative use of web technologies. Submitted projects are evaluated by an international jury of designers, art directors and creative technology experts, while the audience award is determined by public voting.
Voting for the audience award is available on the official competition website.
