The September meeting of the Slovenian Marketing Association (Monday, September 24) will be traditionally dedicated to sports marketing. Guests are: Alja Učanakar (Ljubljanske mlekarne), Dragan Perendija (SportMediaFocus), Alenka Potočnik Anžič (Gorenje) i Milan Eržen (Bahrain Media Pro Cycling Team).
Several interesting examples from the sports marketing world will be presented. Alja Učanakar and Dragan Perendija will show what to do if your sports partner gets injured just before the season starts, and thus misses their active participation in the competitions. The guests will present their experiences on the example of the top Slovenian Alpine skier Ilka Štuhec and the brand Alpsko Mleko.
A year ago members of the Slovene Marketing Association had a chance to hear Gorenje’s marketing plans in handball, especially when it comes to the 2018 European Handball Championship. At the upcoming meeting of the Association, Alenka Potočnik Anžič will present how the company evaluates the success of their activities, what they have achieved and what could be improved. An exceptional example because participants will get to see almost “live” assessment of marketing activities.
The meeting will end with a rarely seen conversation. Tomaž Ambrožič will talk with Milan Eržen, director of the elite cycling team Bahrain Media. The participants will get to hear how the team attracts global partners, what global brands are looking for in sports marketing and how to approach athletes. It will be a very interesting international view of the essence of sports marketing.
