In the beautiful setting of Belgrade Waterfront, the citizens of Belgrade and the international guests of the event Zenith 24 Hours of Elegance by Chivas were met by the world’s top brands, which gathered again this year at the already traditional “Salon of Excellence”, organized in partnership with The Economist magazine and with the great support of Absolut vodka and Luxlife.rs.
At the conference and exhibition of luxury items, a whole range of panelists discussed with the expert in industry of luxury, Aleksandar Djordjevic. Topics covered the current situation in this extremely profitable industry, and the panelists pointed out the important aspects of the businesses that enabled some of these companies to be present on the market for over 100 years.
The guests had the chance to meet with the prestigious maisons:
Zenith – the famous manufacturer of exclusive watches, which this year presents their new, exclusive designs, and here to talk about the special partnerships was CEO for this part of the world, Paolo Cappiello, who emphasized collaboration with the Cuban Cohiba. Zenith also presented three of their most recent models, with the famous El Primero mechanisms which are closely connected with the culture of classic cars and aircraft pilots, but also with the world of formula: El Primero 36’000 VPH Classic, El Primero Chronomaster Cohiba edition, and Heritage Pilot Ton-Up.
A.Caraceni – top quality, hand-tailored suits – synonymous with male elegance from Milan, which were presented by their creator, maestro Carlo Andreacchio, who reminded that luxury is not in excess and displaying the logo, but on the contrary, in discreet, hand-made products, whose value is impassable.
During the exhibition, guests also had the chance to get acquainted with the Siniscalchi – manufacturer of the finest custom tailored shirts, presented by designer Alessandro Siniscalchi from Milan, a man who dresses with his shirts some of the most powerful people in the world. He presented his handmade models that were exquisitely paired with handmade ties from studio Maruška from Serbia, whose top models are already worn by the Swedish King, the Prince of Wales as well as Vladimir Putin.
Chivas – the most respected whiskey in the world – unveiled its latest blend in Chivas Regal family – Chivas Regal Extra, in a very entertaining presentation by the great expert and international brand ambassador Ken Lindsay, who pointed out that this blend is for those who want only the best.
Another first time guest in Belgrade was Fabrizio Rivolta, owner of the prestigious manufacture of shoes Rivolta – one of the oldest manufacturers of custom shoes from Milan, who pointed out that the century-old tradition of this manufacture is a reason more why the company is turning to younger generations with their latest line of relaxed models of shoes, among which is the shoe for driving cars made from the softest leather, dedicated to Tazio Nuvolari, champion of the Belgrade Grand Prix from the 1939.
Lanificio F. or Cerruti presented for us the latest precious fabrics by which this manufacturer is world renowned, and discovered that Nino Cerruti, the world-famous fashion designer, now in his late 80s, is still full of entrepreneurial spirit and always ready to support young talents that continue some antique crafts such as tailoring.
A special guest was also Alessandro Sorgentone, designer of fine jewelry Bonato Milano 1960, who introduced their most exclusive jewelry collection, composed of many pieces sheathed in precious stones, which can be ideally combined and paired with each other, almost like Lego.
Later in the program in Belgrade Waterfront, in order to further promote Serbia, Belgrade and Serbia’s contemporary art, 24 Hours of Elegance, in cooperation with Nešović Fine Arts and curator Ksenija Marinković, presented the newest segment of the event called the Initiative for Serbian Contemporary Art, with works by artists from Serbia, which through this gallery became part of private collections, among which were the works of the famous Uroš Đurić, Marija Dragojlović, Bojan Bem, as well as young and extremely talented Petar Mirković and Milorad Mićo Stajčić, attractively arranged in all chambers of the Belgrade Waterfront edifice in Karađorđeva street.
At the end of the conference, international guests and participants relaxed with Absolut vodka cocktails in the garden of BW gallery, assessing the achievements of the Serbian contemporary art, which has entered a new phase where it is becoming interesting as a good investment. The evening ended in style with an exclusive reception during which Jean-Jacques Regnault, Martell’s international brand ambassador, gave a presentation of pairing premium cognac with food, to the delight of the entire audience.
