Series of TV ads “Djuru – local guru” from Croatia has won the silver award at the Creativity Awards in the US. The campaign was done by the agency Bruketa & Žinić OM in collaboration with the team from Heineken Croatia for Karlovacko beer brand.
Creativity Annual Awards is one of the oldest international competitions that has been awarding creativity and innovation in design and advertising for 47 years now, and this year hundreds of projects from 26 countries competed for the coveted prizes.
Djuru, the local guru, is the main character of a series of TV ads for Karlovačko, inspired by life coaches, who in an unconventional way shares tips and encourages better life. He is a motivator and voice of optimism for those who like to complain, but don’t like to act that much.
The awarded works at the Creativity Awards will be featured in their annual publication, which comes out later this year.
The Creativity Awards jury included names such as Joe Wright, owner and creative director of Sibling Rivalry Studio, who has worked with clients such as the BBC, Sony, Cadillac, Samsung and HBO; Robert Mitchell, who before founding his own firm in Dubai worked for famous clients such as BMW, Jeep, Ford, Samsung; Ferju Cuevas, who has over 10 years of experience working in advertising for the world famous brands such as Samsung, LG, Skechers, P&G, Fiat, Jeep, Nike, Old Spice, Gillette, and others.
