SARA Water has donated a total of 10,000 BAM to support the development of swimming clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The campaign, which ran from November 1 to December 15, was organized through the sale of SARA Water in Konzum and Mercator stores, with a portion of the proceeds directed towards supporting swimming clubs in four cities across the country. This initiative continues Sarajevski Kiseljak’s ongoing support for young athletes, aimed at strengthening capacities and inspiring future champions.

Support for Clubs from All Parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Amel Kapo, coach of the PK Spid club from Sarajevo, which organizes free training sessions for people with disabilities, stated:
“Our goal is to provide people with disabilities the same opportunities as their peers. When given a chance, they achieve outstanding results. A great example is Ismail Barlov, the first medalist for Bosnia and Herzegovina in an individual sport at the Paralympic Games. Donations like this significantly help us cover pool usage costs.”

Expressing gratitude to Sarajevski Kiseljak, Damir Đedović, president and coach of Orka from Mostar, emphasized:
“Our athletes train under difficult conditions, lacking an Olympic pool in Mostar, which adds an additional challenge. Despite this, our Lana has achieved the greatest success in Bosnian swimming thanks to the support we receive.”

“This kind of support is crucial for our club to maintain its activities without disruption,” said Omer Delalić, director of the Zmaj Alpamm Swimming Club from Tuzla. He noted that the donation would be used to purchase equipment and rent pool time, which is a major challenge given the lack of a municipal Olympic pool in Tuzla.

Goran Grahovac, president of the Academic Swimming Club 22. April from Banja Luka, expressed his thanks for the donation and highlighted its importance for the club’s further progress:
“The opening of the Municipal Olympic Pool has created conditions for bigger and better results, but financial challenges persist. The donation will be directed toward equipment, travel to competitions, and improving training conditions for our swimmers.”

Inspiration for Young Athletes
Following the ceremonial handover of the donation, attendees had the opportunity to meet Lana Pudar, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most successful swimmer and the face of this campaign. Lana shared her sports journey and offered advice to aspiring young athletes:
“For me, the path to success was filled with challenges, but I was surrounded by people who believed in me and encouraged me to become even better. That’s why I am especially happy to see initiatives like this, which support young athletes in overcoming these challenges. Through this gesture, SARA Water not only helps our swimming clubs but also shows how important it is to believe in young people, their dreams, and potential. When you have support, all obstacles seem smaller – and dreams closer to being achieved.”

SARA Water remains a key ally for Lana Pudar and other young athletes in their journey toward outstanding achievements.
