Last Sunday afternoon in Ljubljana’s Gospodarsko razstavišče was full of holiday cheer, as Santa Claus came to visit children of Mercator’s employees. The event, attended by more than 1,000 children accompanied by their parents, was held under the name that says it all: MY.BEST.SANTA (MOJ.NAJBOLJI.BOŽIČEK). It was an afternoon of complete joy for the kids who had the opportunity to play with Santa Claus, his assistants, animators, and celebrities whom children adore.
Children learned the basics of painting on canvas in an art workshop led by famous Slovenian illustrator Mitja Bokun, with whom children created an idyllic winter fairy tale. Magician Jole Cole took the kids into the land of magic, while dancer Kazino taught them some new dance moves. The air was filled with the smell of cookies, adorned by kids using natural food colors. In the land of Santa Claus, children and their parents were entertained by Ribič Pepe, and the animation group Čupakabra took to the big stage and treated everyone with wacky performances and several juggling tricks. In addition to the live program, the children also enjoyed the Christmas amusement park, where they played social games and won prizes which they took home full of joy, along with gifts from Santa and photo souvenirs.
