Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expanding its partnership with the world’s most popular game, Fortnite, with a new ad that brings popular emotes and dances from the game to life.
One of the signature features of Fortnite are dances and short emotes that players use to taunt other players, or simply to have fun with their friends. The feature is so popular that there are entire YouTube channels dedicated to these dances, and now they come to life in the spot for Samsung.
The ad even includes the most popular Fortnite streamer, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, with whom Samsung has already done several ads, and who appears in this ad in the hair salon segment getting his signature blue hair color and doing the floss dance.
The ad actually promotes the high battery capacity of the Note 9, that will enable gamers to “outlast the rest” in their games. The partnership with Fortnite started from the very launch of the Note 9, and the game even introduced a special avatar to the game, the Galaxy skin, which is available only to Note 9 users who install the game on their device.
The partnership has a lot of sense having in mind that this game has the biggest global following currently, and in June this year Fortnite had 125 million players! Another indicator of how big this game is – at the moment of writing this article, Fortnite had 1 million viewers on Twitch (thanks to a special live event in the game), followed by Dota 2 with around 150k viewers.
