Serbian Public Relations Association – DSOJ on Wednesday evening held its 21st traditional PRijem event and honored the best agencies, projects, initiatives, individuals, and campaigns for the previous year.

In this year’s competition, 67 entries were received in 13 categories, while 13 of the leading experts in the field of communication, led by Nikola Papko, decided the winners.

“The goal of rewarding PR agencies and experts is to best contribute to the development of the profession. The Serbian Public Relations Association is the only national PR association that goes through the same challenges as the profession itself and society as a whole. Digital transformation is one of the biggest challenges, and not just that, there is a kind of fusion of communication and marketing into a single form in which we need to find the right place and balance for everything we do professionally,” said Dušan Stojaković, Vice President of DSOJ at the award ceremony.

Represent Communications was proclaimed the PR Agency of the Year in Serbia for 2017. “The Agency of the Year award is an acknowledgment that last year we have learned and progressed the most in our profession. I would like to thank our clients for believing in us, and for increasingly investing in digital changes that we are increasingly offering through Content Marketing. I believe that this award will give us further acceleration for the ever faster development of the first digital platform Contento, and the further development of our regional network that now covers 4 countries. It is a great honor to be the best in the business that you are doing, and I want to thank our colleagues from the profession for giving such a flattering recognition to our Represent team,” said Dr Borislav Miljanović, Founder and Director of Represent System.

In addition to acknowledgment for Agency of the Year, Represent Communications also won the corporate communications award in category of large enterprises for their work with the Hemofarm company on the Sustainable Development Promotion Project, as well as the corporate communications award for small and medium enterprises.

Also, Represent Communications agency won the PRiznanje award in the category of Communication of Socially Responsible Projects.

The New Moment New Ideas PR agency won Best Brand PR award for the fashion brand H&M, as well as the award in the category Best Localization of International Campaign for the Tuborg Open project. New Moment’s “One Book for Peace” received the Special Jury Award. One Book for Peace project was created in cooperation between the New Moment and Y&R Dubai, and was designed for the Inter-religious Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of fighting religious prejudice and raising awareness of the importance of understanding and interreligious dialogue. Thus, One Book for Peace brought New Moment another prominent award, after winning awards in a number of world’s most coveted creativity competitions, including Cannes Lions, ICCO, Eurobest, Epica Awards, Sempl and many others.

Lazar Bošković, Marketing and Public Relations Expert and AgitPROP’s owner and creative director, received the Special Award Srđan Đurić for extraordinary personal contribution in the field of communication. The award is a special recognition to professionals with at least 15 years of experience in the profession, for exceptional achievements and a career in line with the DSOJ Code of Ethics. Candidates may be those public relations experts who, by their work, have contributed significantly to the overall advancement of the profession.

The award in the field of internal communications was awarded to Erste Bank for the project Digital Challenge. In the category of PR communication in integrated campaigns, the award went to the Belgrade Philharmonic for the Philharmonic Picnic Campaign. The winner of the category of Communication in the Non-profit Sector is the Havas Media Adriatic agency for the City Faces project. The award for the category of Communication in Public Administration went to the Homepage agency and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Serbia for the initiative Shut Down the Violence, while the award for the use of digital media and new communication technologies was obtained by the agency Executive Group for the First of May Live Lav Beer campaign.
