As we have already reported, today and tomorrow, 10 and 11 June, Belgrade will be a venue for the meeting of regional leaders of professional associations, under the motto Dialogue builds industry (experiences, trends, challenges and solutions). The meeting will be held on the initiative of the Serbian Association for Marketing Communications (UEPS), which will host this meeting that represents the first gathering of all professional associations involved in marketing communications and advertising, from ex-Yugoslavia.
From Slovenia, the meeting will be attended by the director of the Slovenian Advertising Chamber – SOZ Mojca Briščik, and SOZ board member Ana Ivandić. Croatia will be represented by Davor Bruketa, president of HURA (Croatian Association of Communications Agencies) and Dunja Ivana Ballon, executive director of HURA. Representing Macedonia are Sašo Pešev, president of Macedonian Association of Agencies for Marketing – MAAM, and Igor Čelebić, MAAM member. From Bosnia and Herzegovina, coming to the meeting is the editor in chief of the portal Media Marketing, Ekrem Dupanović. Host country and UEPS will be represented by UEPS president Viktor Nikolić, vice president Jasmina Nikolić, and the secretary general Stana Šehalić.
After the welcoming toast, it is planned to launch, affirm and promote the ideas of best business practices in the region, where all participants will share their experience to contribute to the further strengthening of professional associations and raising the standard of the industry. Within the overall topic of the meeting, the agenda defined questions that guests will try to answer, and certainly complement with their own suggestions and ideas:
- Impact: How associations currently influence, and how else can they influence the development of the profession?
- Credibility: What are the most valuable products of the associations and how do they support the market?
- Financing: Quality or quantity, and how to attract a larger number of members?
- Networking: How national associations can work regionally?
- Best practices: Experience from local markets.
The day will end with a joint dinner, and the next day, a session with the working title Conclusion and recommendations is planned, where participants of the meeting will sum up the discussed topics and initiatives.
