Raiffeisen Bank BiH supports five associations amid New Year’s holidays

The total value of donations amounts to €35,000

“It is a real pleasure in this joyful days to be able to help those who really need it. I believe that donations to associations in the amount of €35.000 will help their users, contribute to their better life, and will be useful for their future activities. All this is possible thanks to the understanding of our clients who give full support to this traditional and humane project. The donations we made are considered joint donations of our clients and us, and I sincerely wish to thank them for the confidence they give us through doing business with us on a daily basis,“ said Karlheinz Dobnigg, CEO of Raiffeisen Bank.

On the occasion of the New Year, the Bank has donated €10.000 for three associations: SOS Children’s Village Sarajevo, Association Heart for the Children Suffering from Cancer, and Association for Assistance to the Mentally Underdeveloped Persons of Banjaluka. In addition, for the occasion of the Catholic and Orthodox Christmas, donations of €2.5 thousand were given to the Educational Rehabilitation Center for Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities from Ljubuski and the Family Center – The House of Joy from Kotor Varos.

“The concept of social responsibility represents our long-term commitment to contribute to sustainable development, working with employees, the local community and the entire society to improve the quality of life. Part of our sustainability strategy implies responsibility towards the community and we are trying to be an engaged citizen, through active confrontation with social challenges. We are aware that these associations need continuous support so they can do their job unhindered, so we try to help their work in various ways,“ said Belma Hadžiomerović, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications & Sustainability Management at Raiffeisen Bank.

Donations amid holidays are a long-standing practice within the sustainable business activities of Raiffeisen Bank. It is an activity that the Bank does in place of the usual sending of holiday greetings cards to clients and business partners.
