In an international competition of digital agencies, app ‘Ljetne Čarolije’ (‘Summer magic’) that was developed and produced under the slogan #DoTheMagic by Croatian digital agency Purpura Net (part of Pro Media Group) delighted FOX, parent company of 24Kitchen.
The idea of Purpura’s team, in addition to activation in Croatia, was adapted to the markets of Serbia, Slovenia and Bulgaria. The success of the app is best illustrated by the fact that more than 8,000 participants in total took part in the contest in all markets, while the results achieved with this activation are the best that 24Kitchen had so far. Reach of the campaign has exceeded the figure of 600,000 people and the interactions on the application went beyond the figure of 22,000.
The app consists of a series of questions related to the shows of Heston Blumenthal ‘In Search of Perfection‘, ‘Heston’s Fantastical Food‘ and molecular gastronomy on channel 24Kitchen, designed as a quiz of 24 questions in total.
The app ‘Summer Magic‘ is based on inviting the viewers to closely watch the shows, and read articles on 24Kitchen website where they can find answers and learn something new about molecular gastronomy and renowned chef Heston Blumenthal.
The top three fastest competitors with the most accurate answers won attractive weekly prizes, and after the sixth week of contest, all participants who correctly answered all 24 questions have been contacted by the organizers, and thus got a final chance to participate in a contest for the two main prizes: a trip for two to London for a romantic dinner in Heston Blumenthal’s restaurant, and a voucher for cooking school.
