Last week celebrations were going on throughout the region, including at the PRO PR Awards 2018 gala dinner at the Mona Hotel on Zlatibor, where acknowledgments were awarded to renowned experts for outstanding work and effort in the field of communications and public relations.
PRO PR Awards is a program of rewarding individuals who contribute through their work to a better perception and positioning of the public relations profession on the local and global level. It was founded in 2012 on the occasion of marking the tenth anniversary of the PRO PR Conference, and it is specific because it celebrates individuals, not projects, as well as for not having an entry fee for nominations.
The international commission of PRO PR Awards, consisting of renowned European and regional experts, decided that this year’s recognition for their contribution to the development of the public relations profession will go to distinguished Bosnian-Herzegovinian communications experts: Ms. Nađa Lutvikadić Fočo, PR Manager at BH Telecom, and Ms. Almedina Porca, Head of the Public Relations Section of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo.
Other winners this year were: Marina Burazer, INA’s corporations communications director, Jo Kempen, Hrvatska pošta’s corporations communications director, Nataša Trslić Štambak, director of Grayling agency from Croatia; Alenka Jakomin, senior advisor at Pristop and Jernej Smisl, corporate relations manager at Pivovarna Laško Union from Slovenia, Nataša Đurđević, Communication office lead at Generali osiguranje, Branka Conić, New Moment New Ideas PR Agency director, Milica Stefanović, PR manager at Coca-Cola Serbia and Ivana Đurić, Communication Office Lead at Serbian Ministry for European Integration; Vuk Vujnović, SEECOM general secretary, Nada Pavićević, PR manager at Montenegrin electro distribution and Zvezdana Oluić, head of PR and marketing at Unija poslodavaca (Employers Union) of Montenegro; Daniela Nachevska Stojchevska, marketing and PR specialist at Eurolink osiguranje from Macedonia; Olga Podoinitsyna, board member of VTB Capital and Xenia Reizhevskaya, communications manager of the organisational committee of the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014 from Russia, Simon Jones, Westco director and president of communications for the association for local government from UK, Florence Ranson, communication director of FoodDrinkEurope from Belgium, Andras Staniszlav, CIPR and HuPRA vice president from Hungary, Juergen Gangoly, director of Skills agency from Austria, Christian Spahr, director of media relations at Institut Konrad Adenauer from Germany and Zehra Gungor, ex president of IPRA and owner of Stage PR from Turkey.
PRO PR Awards also include special recognitions in the categories of Vision City and Vision Manager, which are awarded to the city and manager from the host country of the PRO PR Conference. This year’s winners in the mentioned categories are the City of Novi Sad, and Andrej Jovanović, general manager of the company “My brands“. This year’s winner of the special lifetime achievement award, the PRO PR Infigo, is Marija Vićić, Corporate Communications Director of the I&F McCann Group.
The PRO PR Award recognition also includes the unique statues created for this occasion by the students of the Novi Sad Academy of Art.
