General representative for Volkswagen in Bosnia and Herzegovina, PorscheBH, premiered the new Volkswagen Tiguan 2016. New models with rich equipment packages that provide a unique off-road and on-road experience were showcased with a fitting program, organized by the agency Communis Sarajevo in the atmosphere of the National Museum in Sarajevo.
The new Tiguan offers a selection of turbocharged petrol TSI and diesel TDI engines that meet the Euro 6 standard. The most powerful of the petrol engines has a maximum power of 220 hp and 163 kW, while the top diesel version provides 240 hp and 176 kW. The 4Motion system is an option that enables Tiguan to conquer both on-road and off-road terrains with four driving modes: Onroad, Snow, Offroad and Offroad Individual. More advanced models are equipped with a 4Motion system and a fifth-generation Haldex clutch. The optional offroad package Tiguan 4Motion is different than the regular model for its ability to tackle slopes of 25.6 degrees.
Models for 2016 are 60 mm longer and 30 mm wider than its predecessor. Size of the new model is also reflected in the wheelbase, which has grown by 77 mm, and the space for the knees of passengers in the rear seats is 29 mm longer than before. The boot also allows a larger space with a maximum capacity of 1,665 liters. Despite the increased dimensions that allow for greater ride comfort, this year’s Tiguan is 50 kilograms lighter than the models from 2015.
Safety of passengers is another prominent feature of the new Tiguan. Standard equipment in all vehicles includes modern safety systems such as pedestrian detection and autonomous braking in the event of direct, but also secondary collisions.
The interior is decorated with leather materials and a large volume of space, which meets the demands of family and work life. More advanced packages, Comfortline and Highline, have an 8 inch color display with navigation and support for iOS and Android systems.
In the pleasant atmosphere of the National Museum PorscheBH presented the off-road and on-road Tiguan models that will be available at authorized dealerships at a price of 43.900 BAM.
