Aperol Spritz is a beverage that reminds of the Italian way of life, and is enjoyed as an aperitif or a refreshing cocktail in the afternoon, after work or during an evening of relaxation. Aperol was created by brothers Barbieri and was first introduced in 1919 at the International Fair of Padua, and quickly became one of the favorite liqueurs among Italians. This drink is light, with only 11 percent of alcohol, and its rich, complex taste is derived from a mixture of high quality herbs and roots. The original recipe has remained unchanged and is a closely guarded secret to this day. In 2011, Gruppo Campari launched the world-renowned 3, 2, 1 recipe for the perfect Aperol Spritz: put the glass in ice, and add the ingredients in this order: 3 parts wine prosecco, two parts Aperol and 1 part mineral water. Finally, add a slice of orange and enjoy the superb taste!
