Only seven days remain until the Game Changer Montenegro Festival. On June 19, the festival will gather more than 30 speakers from the fields of technology, investment, tourism, finance, and innovation, further strengthening its position as one of the region’s notable events dedicated to topics shaping business and societal development.
This year’s programme focuses on issues currently influencing the global economy, from the development of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure to new investment models and the transformation of tourism destinations.
Among the speakers is Jan Schoch, CEO of Appenzeller Huus and an investor in the Kings Fountain Dedinje project, who will discuss the combination of investment excellence, wellbeing concepts, and luxury hospitality in the development of premium real estate and hotel projects.
A European perspective on economic transformation will be presented by Davor Kunc, Head of the European Investment Bank Office in Montenegro, and Vanja Kljajević, Principal Manager for SME Development at the EBRD. Their discussion will focus on the role of investments, innovation, and artificial intelligence in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness.
Tourism will be one of the festival’s central themes. The panel “Swipe Right on Montenegro: How Data & Technology Are Matching International Travelers to Their Dream Destination”, powered by Mastercard, will bring together representatives from the public and private sectors to discuss the role of data, digital platforms, and smart infrastructure in positioning Montenegro as a year-round tourism destination.
Bogdan Mijović, co-founder of mBrainTrain, will speak about neurotechnology and new ways of understanding the human brain, while Tvrtko Stošić, technology strategist at Avaya, will address questions of trust, limitations, and the practical application of artificial intelligence.
How destinations can attract international founders, investment funds, and technology leaders will be the focus of a presentation by Alberto Fumo of H-FARM College, one of Europe’s leading institutions for educating innovators and entrepreneurs.
Trust in the digital age will be the focus of the discussion “Who Can We Trust in an Era of Distrust?”, powered by ZYN. Svetlana Vuksanović, CEO of Philip Morris Montenegro, will discuss the challenges of finding credible information in an environment shaped by algorithms and information overload.
Among the programme highlights is the panel “Montenegro at the Gateway to the EU – Global Brands, New Destinations and a New Positioning on the World Map”, powered by Sotheby’s. Representatives of Aman, Nammos Hotels & Resorts, Kadena Properties, Kadena Sotheby’s International Realty, and Sotheby’s Realty Montenegro will discuss Montenegro’s positioning within the luxury tourism and real estate markets.
The topic of year-round destination development will bring together representatives of Porto Montenegro, Luštica Bay, and Jadranka Turizam, who will discuss models for sustainable tourism development beyond the peak season.
Digital infrastructure will be at the centre of the fireside conversation “AI Infrastructure – Cloud, Edge, Data Centers & Digital Sovereignty”, powered by MTEL. The discussion will cover data centres, cloud systems, edge computing, and digital sovereignty.
Miša Lukić, founder of Brand Sapiens and New Strategy, will speak about the impact of artificial intelligence on business operations, brand development, and decision-making processes.
The festival will close with the panel “Young Stars of Montenegro Tech”, powered by Nestlé. Participants will include Itana Bulatović of Schneider Electric and co-founder of MAIA, Mladen Rakonjac of Infinum, Slavko Kovačević of DeepMark, and Dr Filip Jovićević, founder of Luča, Montenegro’s first satellite project.
This year’s edition of the Game Changer Montenegro Festival once again brings together representatives of international companies, investment institutions, the technology sector, and the tourism industry, with a focus on topics that will shape economic and business development in the years ahead.
