Lea Brezar, director of agency Dhar Media, is the author of the collection of poems “Ode to Years”, which was printed in 2015 and presented at Interliber. To date, the edition sold out and the second edition was printed, which according to the literary circles is quite significant when it comes to poetry. (Libraries in Croatia annually buy only five books of poetry!)
The collection “Ode to years” has a special value to readers, as proven by its popularity at the most widely read literary blog in Croatia, “Čitaj knjigu”, by blogger Alis Marić, who wrote the preface for the second edition of the “Ode to years”.
#odapoeziji (#odetopoetry) is a project that promotes the culture of reading poetry, clarifies its understanding and demystifies the ingrained idea that “poetry is not understood.” The author herself says that poetry is the shortest way to someone’s heart – and this is also the slogan of the book’s campaign.
“Today, when the world is lacking understanding and empathy for other people’s lives, and thus the lack of positive perspective on life, the collection of poems Ode to Years provides a significant dose of warmth, love and positive thoughts. Thus I imagined to refresh the city with positive verses from the collection of poems, set in the City light panels in Zagreb. Ten poems will be presented at seven locations over fourteen days,” said the author Lea Brezar.
Promotional campaign on city light posters in Zagreb will begin on 9 June.
