Entries for the MIXX competition have closed. Names of the winners in this competition that celebrates the best digital campaigns will be announced at the Days of Communication festival in Rovinj on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Organizers have confirmed that the number of applicants has increased by 15%. In total, 78 entries were received for 10 categories, and for 13 applicants this is the first time joining the competition.
Most of the projects are entered in the Brand Awareness Campaign category, followed by Best Branded Content and Best Social. The largest increase in entries compared to 2017 was recorded in the category Best Mobile App and Best Website.
President of the jury Sanja Đekić (MediaCom) said: “This year’s MIXX Croatia competition reflects the market trends and investments in better quality presentation of content, but also owned channels of communication, from websites to mobile apps. What we can see from the entries – and which particularly delights us – is that the digital content, both in the world and in Croatia, has reached a level that it can achieve boosts in sales and brand parameters both independently and as part of integrated communication.”
MIXX competition was made under the IAB international license, and members of the jury are professionals from all segments of the digital industry – strategy, creativity, production and media buy.
Members of the jury, led by President Sanja Đekić (MediaCom) are: Željko Glavor (1i0/Imago Ogilvy), Fran Mubrin (404), Ivo Novak (Degordian), Mladen Mileusnić (Digitalist), Boris Ličina (Freelance), Miro Brkić (Nivas) and Maja Šplajt (Real grupa).
Some novelties have been introduced to the MIXX competition this year, which are:
- Introduction of Search category that relates to tactics used in advertising on search engines.
- Two rounds of jury. In the first round the jury evaluates written applications, while in the second round, finalists need to complement their entry with a video case study. This seemingly small, but important change, simplified the application process and gave a chance to a greater number of works and competitors.
